- How long is a session?
- Sessions are laid back and comfortable with plenty of time available
to capture great images. They typically last an hour, but can be more
or less depending on the subject.
- How do I book a session?
- Call or email.
- What if I can't make it to an appointment?
- Rescheduling is possible if something unplanned comes up or if someone
is ill.
- Where do you shoot?
- Our beautiful surroundings provide unlimited natural backdrops. I
have a few favorite local outdoor spots and a professional home studio.
I can also shoot on location.
- What type of clothing photographs well?
- I want to capture your personalities, so wear clothes that make you
happy. For some, that might be formal and others prefer casual. It really
depends on what type of picture you are after. Generally speaking, it's
good to avoid strong patterns. Jeans and white or black shirts always
look great. Bring a few clothing options to cover your bases.
- What is the best time during pregnancy to take maternity
shots?
- I generally recommend taking pics from weeks 32 to 36 to capture
those gorgeous curves and that pregnancy "glow". For clothing, I often
recommend a couple of outfits. Loose wrapped fabric and robes can also
work well.
- When do you recommend taking newborn shots?
- The best newborn pics can be taken in the first 10 days of life because
babies still like to be curled up and sleep a lot at this age (not necessarily
at night :o)). The goal is a sleeping baby. Come prepared to give baby
milk during the shoot.
- What print quality can I expect?
- Since you are spending your time and money to capture special images,
it is important that the prints last you a lifetime. I use a highly
regarded, professional photofinishing service whose print quality is
excellent. They use only Kodak Professional Paper and apply a clear
coating to 8x10 and larger prints to provide additional protection.
I typically specify an embossed fine linen texture for 11x14 and larger
prints.
- What is a Canvas Print?
- The image is printed on fine art canvas and mounted on 1/8" thick
Masonite board. It has a beautiful canvas texture which should be mounted
in a standard picture frame without the glass.
- What is a Fine Art Gallery Wrap?
- Gallery wraps are a beautiful frameless option. The image is printed
on fine art canvas and then wrapped around a thick wooden stretcher
bar and stapled. The back is covered with framing paper and comes ready
to hang. Gallery Wraps are absolutely beautiful.
- Do you offer more than is shown on your price
list?
- Yes, the price list only shows commonly ordered products. If you
need a non-standard print size for a special frame or album, just ask.
- More questions?
- Call or email.
